Matt Hancock has been accused of breaking the rules on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. The former health secretary is in the final six of the ITV reality show after entering camp as a latecomer earlier in the 2022 series.
Despite his entry into the jungle being shrouded in controversy, Matt appears to have won over some viewers and could well make it to the final on Sunday (November 27) as those watching at home continue to vote to save their favourites. But that's not if he gets into trouble first.
During Wednesday night's instalment of I'm A Celeb, viewers saw Babatunde Aleshe has become the fifth contestant to be eliminated from the Australian camp. The 36-year-old comedian received the fewest votes from the public and was therefore announced by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly that he was the next go.

After his exit, Babatunde told the Geordie co-hosts: "I loved it in there but I needed my freedom… Living in it has been a whole different experience. Before when I used to watch this show I used to think to myself 'Ah man, these guys are just playing, it’s all good in there'. And then you know spending two-and-a-bit weeks in there, it’s hardcore, it’s intense."
But, after Ant and Dec left camp after revealing the news, it was spotted that Matt had a specific message for Babatunde as he embraced his fellow campmates and said his goodbyes.
As West Suffolk MP Matt, who has had the Tory whip suspended following his inclusion in the popular reality show, went to hug him and was overheard saying: "Oh you are so wonderful," before adding: "Will you say that to Gina?" While what exactly the Celebrity Gogglebox star needs to tell Matt's girlfriend and former aide wasn't revealed, Babatunde appeared happy to do what he asked.
Though it has been suggested that Matt's request has gone against the rules when it comes to contact with the outside world. During the latest episode of Good Morning Britain on Thursday (November 24), the show's entertainment editor Richard Arnold said of Babatunde's exit: "It wasn't just his goodbye that got viewers talking.
"Shortly before he left the camp, eagle-eyed viewers spotted Matt Hancock issue a potential rule-breaking request during a goodbye hug." A clip of the moment then played out and as Richard started to say: "Sending a message to the outside world..." Susanna interjected: "Is that not allowed?"
"No," Richard replied surprising Susanna and co-host Ben Shephard. "You're not allowed to send a message to the outside." While Ben argued that Chris Moyles has engraved a 'T' on his hat in a message to his partner Tiffany Austin, Richard argued: "That's a sort of subliminal message. I'd be sending up a flare by now it's been that long."
As he was about to move on Richard quipped: "There you have it, Matt Hancock breaking rules." As Susanna burst out laughing, Richard added: "More on that later," before swiftly moving on with the rest of his segment.
