Matt Hancock has made the biggest mistake of his life by joining I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, says Janet Street-Porter.
The broadcaster who appeared on the show back in 2004 has given her verdict after the disgraced MP became the 11th personality to be announced.
Mr Hancock, 44, recently opened up about his decision to head Down Under, stating he hasn't "lost his marbles" and the "big cheque" didn't appeal to him.
But since the news broke, the public have been expressing their fury, with many pledging to vote for him to do every Bushtucker Trial possible.

While the Chester-born MP is hoping to raise awareness of dyslexia and appeal to a much larger audience, Loose Women's Janet believes he's made a huge error.
Writing for the Mail Online, the 75-year-old said: " Matt Hancock has made the biggest mistake of his life by choosing to appear on I'm a Celebrity, TV's most popular reality show," before adding that some of the "kindest accolades" include being called a "halfwit" and "a total prat".
Janet goes on to say that the fate of Matt is "in our hands" as the public prepare to vote for Hancock to become the 'celebrity' who takes on the most trials, as he becomes "our court jester".
"I can't wait for the fun to start because the result will be ritual humiliation for the Former Health Secretary," Janet said after he "naively" believes his stint will rebrand him.
But as the nation prepares to face a harsh winter due to the ever-soaring energy prices, which will ultimately see thousands of Brits swap the heating for extra layers of clothes, Janet believes Mr Hancock's stint will make the dark evenings more bearable.
Speaking about why he wants to join the likes of Mike Tindall and Owen Warner in the Australian jungle, Matt said: " The truth is, I haven't lost my marbles or had one too many Pina Coladas.
"It's something I've given a lot of thought to," before explaining that as an elected minister, it's important for him to "engage" with voters.
He continued: "I want to raise the profile of my dyslexia campaign to help every dyslexic child unleash their potential — even if it means taking an unusual route to get there, via the Australian jungle!
Mr Hancock who was famously ousted from the Cabinet after breaching his own lockdown rules and having an affair hopes that his appearance will raise more support for his Dyslexia Screening and Teacher Training Bill.
I'm A Celebrity returns to ITV at 9pm on November 6.
