Matt Doherty could be on his way to Saudi Arabia, with reports linking the Ireland international with a move to the big-spending league.
A number of clubs are believed to have opened negotiations with the free agent.
Doherty is out of contract after spending six months at Atletico Madrid.
He moved to the Spanish capital from Tottenham at the end of the January transfer window, but made just two substitute appearances in La Liga.
The Dubliner revealed after Friday’s defeat to Greece that he was looking at a possible move back to England, with Sheffield United and Burnley interested.
However, he added that he was keeping his options open.
