Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz is set to join Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC after his loan move at UD Ibiza was cut short yesterday.
The Spanish club, who play in the second tier, confirmed that the 21-year-old, who has signed for Leeds from Polish side Ruch Chorzow in the 2019 January transfer window, is prepared to sign a four-year deal following his request to leave Ibiza 'months ago'.
It was rumoured in the January window this year that Bogusz could've left his loan move even earlier and gone to LAFC but that Ibiza had 'blocked' the transfer following the star's contract to play the full 2022/23 season and their fight to avoid relegation.

In a statement posted to the club's website, Ibiza confirmed the star's departure, saying: "Unión Deportiva Ibiza and Leeds United have reached an agreement to revoke the loan that bound Mateusz Bogusz to our Club until the end of the season.
"The English team has accepted the conditions requested by our entity to terminate the agreement earlier than agreed, also fulfilling the footballer's wish to sign and be transferred to an MLS club.
"Given the current sporting situation that our entity is going through, we cannot have players in our squad who are not totally committed to the team, something necessary to be able to achieve the main objective for which all levels of the Club are fighting.
"The shield of the Sports Union Ibiza is above all."
Leeds are expected to confirm the move, once Bogusz's stateside move has been sanctioned.
Ibiza will now likely instead receive economic compensation for the shortened loan spell, with Leeds upfronting the full cost themselves as the parent club.
UD Ibiza currently sit in joint-bottom of the Segunda Division while LAFC are second in the Western Conference of the MLS having played only three games so far this season.
