Slovenian cyclist Matej Mohoric secured his third victory in the Tour de France by winning the 19th stage in Poligny on Friday. This marked the third win for his team, Bahrain Victorious, in this year's race, a feat achieved under difficult circumstances after the tragic death of his teammate, Gino Mader.
Mohoric, who has previously won stages in all three grand tours, narrowly beat Kasper Asgreen of Denmark to the finish line in a dramatic photo finish. Overwhelmed by emotions, Mohoric broke into tears upon learning of his victory a couple of minutes later, adding to the significance of his triumph.
