Match Preview - Spurs (A): The Everything is Black and White Podcast

Newcastle United return to Premier League action as the club travels down to the capital to face Tottenham. Having lost their last two games prior to the international break, United will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

On this week’s episode of The Match Preview, via The Everything is Black and White Podcast, Andrew Musgrove and John Gibson look ahead to the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The pair discuss United’s trip to Dubai, the return of Allan Saint-Maximin to full fitness, and the need for more goals from Chris Wood.

Also up for discussion is what Dwight Gayle can offer United, Jamaal Lascelles’ comments on Eddie Howe and the leaders he’s brought into the club, and who starts in the midfield. Predicting the outcome of the game on Sunday, Gibbo said: “If I think about Son and Kane - I’m terrified but if I think about the Spurs’ defence, I think they give us a chance. My hope comes back.

“It could be anything. They are totally up and down. You never know, and this includes Conte, what you're going to get from this Spurs side - you just don’t know until the match gets underway.

“I’m going for a draw. People laugh when you say a draw, they say ‘you’re sitting on the fence’ but no, you’re not sitting on the fence. There are three results - win, lose or draw.

“I’m going for a draw and if we get it, I’ll be absolutely delighted because I think it would be a good result.”
