Match of The Day pundits slam Marcelo Bielsa tactics and say what will cost him Leeds United job

Alan Shearer and Ashely Williams were in agreement that Marcelo Bielsa's tactics and stubbornness will cost him his Leeds United job.

The duo were speaking on Match of The Day in the aftermath of the Whites 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

There's been plenty of speculation surrounding the Argentinian's future at Elland Road after a sig game winless run, with Leeds conceding 21 goals in that time - a new Premier League record for goals conceded in a calendar month.

The result sees Leeds slip closer to the relegation zone and there's a genuine fear of relegation back to the Championship.

Shearer said: "Spurs were absolutely fantastic. It's the insistence on going man for man that Spurs will have looked at, and did look at.

"They just dominated and ran Leeds ragged. All over the pitch. Especially in forward positions.

"I mentioned the man for man marking. You've got Kane, Kulusevksi and Son. Kane and Son are two of the best players in the world at this moment in time.

"It was a fantastic team goal, [Spurs second] the passing, the movement, everything about it was superb.

"This was at 1-0, Leeds had every single player in the final third. You would think they were desperately chasing the game with a few minutes to go. Just watch what happens, within one pass you've got three Spurs players against one.

"It was just incredible one vs three. It's a brilliant situation for them to be in and they pick Leeds off with ease.

"Sometimes if you try and take out one player out by man for man marking, that's different. Everyone going man for man marking, it's so difficult to do and Leeds just can't do it.

"They were luck to get away with it.

"Harry Kane will fancy his chances against anyone in world football, particularly if they're going man for man marking.

"60 goals Leeds have conceded and they were perfect for Tottenham and the way they play today. I know that Leeds have had big injuries this season and that's cost them dearly.

"When it's not working, and it's not working at all, surely you have to look at doing something different.

"If he does lose his job, that's one of the reason's why."

When asked if Bielsa's stubbornness could be why he loses his job, Williams said: "Yeah, definitely. I think it's very stubborn to keep doing the same things week in, week out and not changing anything.

"I think it's a little bit arrogant of him to think he can for 1vs1 against quality opposition. I can't see where they're going to go from here.

"Same tactics week in week out, same result."
