Masters survey 2023: Pimento cheese, anyone? Contestants past and present answer the question: You have $20 for concessions. What do you buy?

You’re at Augusta National Golf Club for the Masters Tournament.

You give your caddie a $20 bill to go to a concession stand.

What’s your order?

That’s the question we proposed to more than two dozen pros — from Jordan Spieth to Gary Player — who have been there, done that and tasted the pimento cheese, egg salad and ice cream sandwiches and have strong opinions on how they’d spend their dough.

Many noted they’d probably have some change, but who knew Max Homa didn’t eat eggs or that Collin Morikawa uses Masters drink cups at his house. And there are some very mixed opinions on Pimento cheese. Check out their answers…and keep the change.

I’d get a couple pimento cheese sandwiches and beers and another pimento cheese.

The pulled pork, a lemonade and an ice cream sandwich. Probably four of those with $20.

I’d definitely load up on the chicken sandwich and the egg salad sandwich.

Harris English

Pimento Cheese Sandwich: If there is one item that is synonymous with the Masters it’s the pimento cheese sandwich. Price: $1.50.

I’m a big pimento cheese guy. Can you get a transfusion with that?

Tony Finau

Peach Ice Cream Sandwich: A relatively new offering, the Peach Ice Cream Sandwich ($2) has peach ice cream between a pair of sugar cookies.

Pimento cheese is the third best sandwich in my opinion. Egg salad is the best so he’d have to grab me a few of those. The club sandwich is the second best. I only say that because I’ve had a lot better pimento cheese. The peach ice cream sandwich is out of this world. But the best food all week is in the caddie area.

Two egg salads and whatever he wants. Prices are so good there’ll still be change left.

One egg salad. I like the pulled pork. I don’t dislike pimento but I prefer it on a burger or something.

Collin Morikawa

An egg salad, a sweet tea, a beer. I like collecting the cups. If you showed up at my house, that’s all we use. They’re great, they’re perfect.

Jon Rahm

I’ve never had a pimento cheese. The fried chicken at the caddie house is tremendous.

How much are beers? $5. Then four beers.

I have to give it to Charlie Rymer. The Peg-mento sandwich, half pimento cheese, half egg salad is pretty strong. A cold light beer, a peach ice cream and another pimento cheese sandwich. I just love those things.

Xander Schauffele

Ice cream sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, pimento cheese has grown on me along with some water and probably grab a beer.

I do egg salads and Coke.

I love the chicken sandwich. I have my wife bring me one every year during a practice round. Pimento cheese is a close second.

Will Zalatoris

Pulled pork sandwich, the peach ice cream sandwich and a pimento cheese sandwich, for sure. Thank goodness they have those in player dining, by the way.

Jim Furyk

Masters Food Prices: The trend at modern sports stadiums and arenas is to offer fans gourmet food and things from top restaurants, but patrons at Augusta National can enjoy traditional fare.

Well, you can’t eat $20 worth of food there. You only need about six bucks. If I was watching, I’d get a pimento cheese and a beer. Make it two pimento cheese sandwiches and two beers.

Viktor Hovland

I’ve had some of the sandwiches but I couldn’t even tell you which one I think is the best.

I really like the chicken sandwiches.

They have fruit, right? I would spend all that money on the fruit.
