Masterchef: The Professionals host leaves show after just one series

  • Matt Tebbutt, presenter of Saturday Kitchen, will not return as a full-time judge on MasterChef: The Professionals, leaving the show after just one series.
  • Tebbutt joined the judging panel alongside Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti for the 2026 series, stepping in after Greg Wallace's departure.
  • Greg Wallace was removed from the show following historic allegations of misconduct, with 45 out of 83 allegations upheld, including unwelcome physical contact.
  • In a statement on Instagram on Wednesday, Tebbutt said: “A lot of lovely people have contacted me about not doing the next series of MasterChef: The Professionals. I was only ever doing one series and I loved judging on it and will continue working with MasterChef.”
  • The BBC has stated that no decisions have been made regarding the future presenting line-up for 'MasterChef' and declined to comment on speculation.
