- MasterChef : The Professionals judge Marcus Wareing has described the dismissals of his former co-hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode from the BBC as “tough” for the pair, whilst noting that the situation was nothing to do with him.
- Gregg Wallace was sacked by the broadcaster in July 2025 after an independent investigation substantiated 45 allegations of misconduct against him, including inappropriate sexual language and unwelcome physical contact.
- John Torode was also dismissed in July 2025 after an allegation that he used an extremely offensive racist term was upheld, a charge Torode said he was shocked by and had no recollection of.
- Wareing revealed he is not in regular contact with Wallace, explaining that life goes on and noting that Wallace appears to be moving on based on his social media activity.
- Wallace previously issued an apology on Substack in January for his behaviour, admitting to heavy reliance on sexual innuendo during filming while arguing he was matching the culture engineered on set.
