Drivers are facing long delays on various parts of the M60 motorway on Monday morning after a series of crashes. And on the M62, FOUR MILES of congestion is being reported due to a 'multi-vehicle collision'.
Highways bosses are warning commuters of heavy tailbacks. All traffic was held temporarily on the clockwise M60 due to a collision at junction five for the A5103 Princess Road - Princess Parkway.
Congestion is said to be back to junction one at Stockport Pyramid. Queues remain in the area. Traffic was held at around 7.50am whilst an exit slip road closure was being removed.
Elsewhere on the motorway, a lorry and a car collided on the clockwise stretch near Salford. Lanes were blocked, but have now reopened, at junction 13 for the A575 Walkden Road at Worsley.
Traffic service INRIX reported queueing traffic in the area and congestion back to junction 10 at the Trafford Centre.
"All lanes have been re-opened. Lane one (of four) was blocked until around 07.55am," according to INRIX.
A broken-down vehicle was also reported on the M60 clockwise at junction 27 at Tiviot Way - the Portwood roundabout.
"All lanes have been re-opened," reported INRIX.
