JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday visited the state mahila sadan, run by the department of social justice and empowerment, at Sanganer to bless 12 residents whose marriages were conducted under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and Sukhad Dampatya Vivah Yojana.
On behalf of the department, cheques of Rs 31,000 and Rs 21,000 were provided to nine residents under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna and Rs 50,000 were provided to three residents under the Sukhad Dampatya Vivah Yojana.
Gehlot enquired about the household items given to them by the department, donors and Bhamashahs. Social justice minister Tika Ram Jully was also present.
