Chelsea attacking midfielder Mason Mount has hinted that he will do all he can to be available for the Liverpool Carabao Cup final with his latest social media message.
Mount, 23, had to be withdrawn early on in the Club World Cup final after he felt some discomfort on an injury that he carried into the Abu Dhabi tournament from the Plymouth FA Cup game.
An injury that had many sweating ahead of the Carabao Cup final with the potential of three key players between the two finalists possibly missing the showpiece event amid Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota's woes.
"We will push for the League Cup final. He has Injured ligaments in the very first minute of the final unfortunately. The Champions League seems to be very, very close and we'll try hard for the cup final," Tuchel said ahead of the Crystal Palace win in his pre-match press conference.
A positive update that will be of some relief to the Chelsea fans after they once again saw how important 'Money Mase' is to their attacking fluidity after a Mount-less Blues outfit laboured to a fortuitous 1-0 win at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Tuchel's update coupled with the player's own update will most likely result in a positive outcome for the west Londoners who will have to deal without their number 19 against Lille in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
On Saturday evening at the same time that Tottenham were blowing the Premier League title race wide open for Liverpool and potentially Chelsea, the Three Lions international sent the fanbase into a frenzy with his one-word positive injury message.
On his Twitter account @masonmount_10, he tweeted in a cryptic way: "…loading…"
Is this the biggest hint yet that he will make the final? The next week will be key to seeing how his injury situation further develops ahead of Sunday, February 27.
Nonetheless, the Blues fanbase was overjoyed with what they saw online in the aftermath of their big London derby win earlier in the day over Patrick Vieira's tricky side.
Here's some of the reaction.
@MineralsFC tweeted: "Need your minerals back asap moneyyy!"
@AbsoluteChelsea was delighted: "See you soon, Mase!"
@surennnn11 hopes: "Hopefully you’re back for the Carabao Cup final Mase!"
@TweetChelseaUk delivered his three word verdict: "We miss you.."
@HKSaratov demanded: "Hurry up bro. Needed you out there today."
