fooball.london looks at the moments you may have missed from Chelsea's win.
Diego Costa's reception
The former Chelsea striker did not have to wait long to feel appreciated at Stamford Bridge on his return, with supporters singing his name from the stands before a ball had even been kicked and fans joyfully reacting to his arrival at the ground.
It was very obvious there was a great deal of affection for the forward that netted 59 goals across 120 appearances for the Blues, and supporters were clearly happy to see their former player start the game. Trevoh Chalobah and Kalidou Koulibaly dealt with his threat reasonably comfortably, but his substitution allowed for a more significant moment.
The crowd would rise to their feet in the 58th minute and applaud as Costa headed off the pitch. Cesar Azpilicueta made sure to embrace his former teammate as he left the pitch, while even Trevoh Chalobah made sure to greet the striker and show his appreciation before he left the pitch.

Costa managed to take in plenty of adulation as he walked around the perimeter of the pitch, engaging with supporters on the sidelines as he made his way to the bench. The forward said following the match: "I've never had a problem with the fans. I left in bad terms with that manager, I left a champion for the second time, and he didn't count on me that was nothing I could do. I had to leave. Today showed that I did not leave on bad terms with the fans."
How Ruben Loftus-Cheek left Mason Mount frustrated
Chelsea was able to break with the match still goalless just before the half-hour mark. Ruben Loftus-Cheek had the ball in his own half and was able to drive forward into space. Kai Havertz was ahead of him, breaking beyond the Wolves backline, straying offside in the opposition's half and then the pass came.
It was a pass that was never really on because the German was offside so early, but his run had ensured there was a great deal of space on the left side of the pitch. Mason Mount was keeping up with the play with acres of space to run into. He could only watch as play came tonight and release his frustrations into their air and throw his hands up to accompany them.
Fortunately, Mount was able to deliver an assist of his own before the half was out for Havertz to score and able to provide a second for Christian Pulisic in the second period to make his impact felt before the game was over.
Todd Boehly's guest
The Chelsea owner has been a frequent figure alongside Behdad Eghbali so far this season, and co-owner and board member Jonathan Goldstein joined them in attendance for the game against Wolves. The latter watched Chelsea training with Boehly on Friday and interacted with Potter and his players as they finalised their preparations for the Premier League match.
However, the trio were joined by a guest on Saturday, as James Corden of Gavin and Stacey fame sat in the same box at Stamford Bridge and even next to Boehly. It's not the first time Boehly and Corden have enjoyed each other's company, as they spent time together in London over the summer. The duo enjoyed food together in Mayfair in July, along with Eghbali, during Chelsea's attempts to land Jules Kounde.
