Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is facing a race against time to be fit for the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, a week Sunday.
Mount was substituted in the first half of Chelsea's win in the Club World Cup final with Palmeiras after following discomfort following a collision.
An opposition player fell onto Mount's ankle, causing damage to his ligament's in the process - forcing him to celebrate with the trophy on crutches.

Tuchel today confirmed that Mount will miss Chelsea 's Premier League match with Crystal Palace and the Champions League match midweek with Lille will also come too soon.
Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference: "We will push for the league cup final. He has Injured ligaments in the very first minute of the final unfortunately.
"The Champions League seems to be very, very close and we'll try hard for the cup final."
Jurgen Klopp today confirmed Diogo Jota will miss Liverpool 's match with Norwich City on Saturday and is himself in a race against time to be fit for the Wembley cup final.
