Masked Singer duo Cat and Mouse revealed as Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and wife Shirlie

The Masked Singer UK contestants Cat and Mouse were finally unveiled during tonight's episode, and many viewers were shocked to learn that it was a married couple.

So far in the series, two celebs have already been unveiled. Piece of Cake was unveiled as Lulu and Ghost was unmasked as Chris Kamara.

And tonight, the judges opted for Cat and Mouse to 'take it off' after they went head-to-head with Knitting, and when they took their masks off, the duo was revealed to be Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and his wife Shirlie.

Davina McCall was left speechless after the reveal and the pair were then asked if their son, Capital Breakfast DJ Roman Kemp knew that they had taken part on the ITV show, Shirlie replied: "No! This is going to embarrass him. Most people say they are doing it for their kids."

While Martin hilariously added: "We're doing it to embarrass them."

Asked if they enjoyed it, Shirlie said: "I've never done anything so nerve wracking in my life."

Fans took to Twitter to comment on the reveal and amongst them was Martin and Shirlie's son Roman.

He penned: "ARE YOU F*****G JOKING #MaskedSingerUK I JUST SHOUTED THE PHRASE “TAKE IT OFF” TO MY PARENTS I CANT UNDO THAT #MaskedSingerUK."

Shirlie then tweeted: "And to think, our kids thought we were on a romantic getaway… #MaskedSingerUK."

One fan wrote: "Not gonna lie - I 100% did not guess that Cat & Mouse would be revealed to both be professional singers!"

Another added: "OMG CAT AND MOUSE WAS SUCH A SHOCK didn't expect that at all."

Viewers still think they've figured out Knitting's identity after a "clever" maths clue.

During a recent episode, Knitting said the riddle: "Knitting is easy, it's the crossing of sticks, count all of your stitches, there should be 26."

Viewers were quick to predict it could be Steps' Claire Richards, 45, as 26 equals the amount of the band's iconic song 5,6,7,8.

The Masked Singer continues on Saturdays on ITV.
