David Seaman and wife Frankie Poutney were spotted in the Strictly Come Dancing audience on Saturday night, a week after their painful exit from The Masked Dancer.
As soon as the new series of the ITV show started, plenty of viewers had their suspicions that former England goalie David and his Dancing on Ice skating pro wife Frankie were Pillar and Post and their identity ended up being revealed an a way that the couple themselves or producers would have expected or wanted. At the start of The Masked Dancer episode which went out on Saturday, October 1, presenter Joel Dommett broke the news that Pillar and Post had bowed out of the competition behind the scenes, after Frankie suffered a bad injury in rehearsals.
Seven days on from that unfortunate news being shared with millions of viewers at home, David and Frankie made a fleeting appearance on an even bigger TV talent show, when they were clocked sitting behind Kym Marsh's daughter Emily as she was interviewed by Strictly host Tess Daly. David was there to cheer on his former England and Arsenal team mate Tony Adams, as he got everyone talking with a Full Monty inspired routine.

However, unlike Emily, David didn't get take part in any sort of interview, although he was seen chuckling away as Tony performed and stripped off to Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing. It didn't take long for viewers at home to flock to Twitter after spotting David and Frankie. One posted: "David Seaman's wet himself, there," with another tweeting: "Just catching up with #Strictly, loved the camera panning during Tony Adams’ dance to David Seaman, weeping with laughter, in the audience."
Admitting they recognised Frankie first, a third reacted: "The fact that I recognised Frankie off Dancing On Ice in the audience before David Seaman tells you all you need to know about me."
