Mask penalty may be on Delhi Disaster Management Authority agenda

NEW DELHI: In view of an increase in fresh Covid-19 cases and the positivity rate this month, lieutenant governor Anil Baijal will chair a review meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on April 20 to assess the situation.

According to sources, the decision to withdraw the fine of Rs 500 for not wearing masks in public places is likely to be reviewed. Sources said a dip in the number of people with masks was one of the reasons for the uptick in cases.
