During a recent news briefing, Maryland Governor Wes Moore highlighted the challenges faced by divers conducting recovery operations due to poor water conditions. Governor Moore expressed concern over the hindrance caused by the dark water and dense debris, which severely limits visibility for the divers.
The governor emphasized that the water's darkness and the density of debris make it nearly impossible for divers to see more than a foot or two in front of them. As a result, much of the operation relies on the divers' sense of touch rather than sight.
