Mary-Louise Parker, who shares a son with recently re-wed Billy Crudup, wants nothing but the best for her ex his new nuptial adventure with Naomi Watts.
Watts and Crudup revealed over the weekend they had tied the knot after dating for nearly six years. Watts had previously been in a relationship with actor Liev Schreiber from 2005 to 2016. Crudup dated Parker for seven years before notoriously leaving her for Claire Danes in 2003, when Parker was seven months pregnant.
Parker and Crudup’s son, William, is now 19. Parker also has a daughter who she adopted from Ethiopia in 2007.
“I wish them well,” Parker told The Guardian in an interview published Thursday. “I honestly of course wish them every happiness because that’s my son’s father. So I’m happy for them. I’m happy they found each other.”
Her comment came at the end of a wide-ranging discussion in which Parker, 58, talked Brooklyn, Botox, Broadway and the potential for a “Weeds” reunion.
Parker has not been publicly forthcoming about her relationship with Crudup, but did allude to it in her 2015 memoir, “Dear Mr. You,” a series of essays to unnamed men in her life. The essay “Dear Mr. Cabdriver” indirectly plunges us into the turmoil of being jilted while pregnant, as the narrator relives a screaming fight with a taxi driver while in emotional distress.
