Marvel to return to San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H in 2026 for the first time since Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom casting was revealed

After a year off, Marvel is returning to Hall H at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

According to The Wrap, Marvel Studios will be back in its usual headline slot on the convention's Saturday night (July 25).

Unusually, the studio skipped 2025, so this will be their first appearance since 2024's panel, when it was announced that the Russos would return to direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars – and that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU, but as Doctor Doom rather than Tony Stark.

This year's panel will come just a few days before the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, and five months before Doomsday hits the big screen in December. It's unclear who will be in attendance, but we're hoping for another Downey Jr. appearance after he took to the stage at last week's CinemaCon.

His appearance accompanied a screening of the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer, which debuted for CinemaCon attendees behind closed doors and featured the first look at Victor Von Doom. The trailer is most likely to premiere to the public ahead of theatrical screenings of The Mandalorian and Grogu, but some fans think it could be arriving online sooner rather than later after a cryptic social media tease from an official Marvel account.

Downey Jr. will be joined on screen in Doomsday by a who's who of MCU cast members, including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Simu Liu, Pedro Pascal, and many, many more.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18. For more on Marvel Phase 6, check out our guide to the other upcoming Marvel movies and shows.
