Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 patch notes: Elsa Bloodstone, hero changes, and new Team-Up abilities

Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 mostly balances out multiple things at once, but it quietly rewrites how many matches will play out. Here’s a complete breakdown of Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 patch notes.

Some heroes, like Thor and Doctor Strange, lose some extra padding, while Rogue and Venom receive small but meaningful improvements that should keep them in more fights.

Duelists see the biggest shuffle, with Deadpool, Phoenix, Moon Knight, Star-Lord, Psylocke, and more all seeing tweaks to health, cooldowns, ult costs, and damage. Strategists aren’t ignored either, with Adam Warlock finally getting proper mobility and Ultron’s drones covering more ground.

Team‑Up overhaul

The first thing you’ll feel in Season 6.5 is the Team-Up overhaul. The long-running Fantastic Four Team-Up is gone, so Invisible Woman no longer anchors Human Torch, Mister Fantastic, and The Thing in one giant defensive package.

In its place, several Team-Ups are reshuffled to match the current roster. Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box now pulls Elsa Bloodstone into Deadpool and Jeff’s chaos, giving Elsa access to Bloodstone’s Boombox Bullets when she links up with the Merc.

Gamma Charge also changes again, with The Thing stepping into the combo so he can punch with gamma-infused fists and gain extra bulk through Gamma Gauntlets when he teams with Hulk.

Rocket Network gets a big twist, too. Instead of only boosting Star-Lord, the Team-Up now lets Mister Fantastic join Rocket’s tech circus, unlocking the Fantastic Amplifier and adding even more payoff to his inflated state during pushes.

Finally, Invisible Woman anchors a brand-new Psionic Mayhem Team-Up with Doctor Strange, granting him access to his classic synergy (similar to Season 0) but tuned for supportive play through the Psionic Vortex ability.

Vanguard tweaks: Rogue and Venom buffs, Thor and Doctor Strange nerfs

Tank mains will notice that Thor’s overall durability is reduced. Hammer Throw now grants a flat 50 Bonus Health when it connects, but that shield only triggers once per throw, and Storm Surge’s Bonus Health is cut from 75 down to 50, lowering the ceiling on his sustain in extended brawls.

Rogue moves in the opposite direction. Defensive Stance converts more absorbed damage into energy, jumping from 0.27 to 0.35, and Fatal Attraction’s cooldown drops from 17 seconds to 14 seconds, letting her fish for game-changing picks more often.

Doctor Strange, meanwhile, loses some safety on the backline as Shield of the Seraphim regenerates more slowly, going from 70 shield per second to 60.

Venom rounds out the Vanguard section with a clear survivability buff. His base health rises from 650 to 675, and Feast of the Abyss converts damage into Bonus Health more efficiently, increasing the ratio from 1 to 1.3.

Strategist updates: Adam Warlock and Ultron buffs, Invisible Woman and Loki nerfs

Adam Warlock finally gets the mobility players have been asking for. He can now enter a dedicated flight mode that moves at 10 meters per second for up to four seconds when his energy bar is full, and that energy fully refills from empty in 15 seconds.

His Soul Bond also gets a key quality-of-life upgrade. Adam can hover and attack while the ability is active, instead of feeling locked into a static channel. That change alone makes him far less vulnerable during clutch saves and lets him reposition vertically while still contributing damage or healing.

Ultron’s Patch drones can now detach at 35 meters instead of 30, widening the area where he can provide support or pressure high-ground positions.

On the utility side, Invisible Woman’s Force Physics cooldown increases from eight seconds to 10, reducing how often she can reset fights with big arena control. Loki’s Mystical Missile charges are reduced from 12 to 10.

Duelist buffs and nerfs

Duelists see the most changes in Season 6.5. Deadpool becomes noticeably harder to shut down once Pop Quiz! comes online. The healing from his ultimate increases from 30 to 35 on release and from 60 to 70 when you successfully pass the challenge.

Phoenix takes a light nerf as her base health drops from 275 to 250, lowering the margin for error when she dives into contested angles. Moon Knight also loses some durability as the Bonus Max Health from Moon Blade is reduced from 100 to 75.

Star-Lord’s energy cost is going down from 3400 to 3100. Psylocke’s Psionic Crossbow’s damage falloff at 30 meters increases from 60 percent to 70 percent, so long-range spam is weaker, and Dance of the Butterfly’s single-hit damage drops from 170 to 160, slightly toning down her ultimate’s burst.

Squirrel Girl’s Squirrel Blockade feels snappier to use as its projectile speed when you fire without charging jumps from 20 meters per second to 30 meters per second.

Punisher and Wolverine both benefit from cheaper ultimates, which directly affects how aggressive they can be around objectives. Final Judgement’s cost falls from 3700 to 3400 for Punisher, and Wolverine’s Last Stand drops from 3400 to 2800.

Storm rework

Storm gets one of the more complex reworks in this patch. Under the Weather Control, Tornado using Wind Blade and Bolt Rush now grants Storm Bonus Health instead of only providing offense, with a damage conversion ratio of 25 percent up to a maximum of 75 Bonus Health.

For Thunder, Wind Blade hits reduce Bolt Rush’s cooldown by 0.5 seconds, but only once per cast, even if you tag multiple targets, and Bolt Rush’s field radius increases from one meter to 1.5 meters, making it easier to connect with enemies in tight corridors.

Thunder and Lightning’s ally buffs now decay over two seconds after leaving the aura instead of vanishing instantly. Storm’s ally damage boost under Thunder is reduced from 12 percent to 8 percent, and the animation end lag on Weather Control is shortened.
