Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is one of the most exciting upcoming Marvel games on the horizon. The story-driven action-adventure on the way from Marvel Games and Skydance New Media might not be a part of the Marvel Phase 6 plan, but it sounds every bit as exciting. Set during World War 2, Rise of Hydra's ensemble cast of playable heroes will see Captain America team up with Black Panther of the '40s to put a stop to a "sinister plot".
The stunning new game was revealed back in 2021, before briefly popping up during the Disney Marvel 2022 showcase as the then-untitled game featuring "four heroes". It wasn't until March 2024 that we got our first proper look at the game in a cinematic story trailer, along with confirmation of its official title: Rise of Hydra. In late 2025, Rise of Hydra was delayed into "early 2026" to account for quality control, according to the developer... which means a release window could come any day now.
