Martyn Ford towers over rival Iranian Hulk in first face-off ahead of fight

Martyn Ford has towered over his rival Iranian Hulk as the pair faced off for the first time ahead of their boxing fight in April.

Ford is preparing for his maiden boxing appearance against the Iranian social media star in an event which has been branded the 'Heaviest Fight in History'.

The pair faced off for the first time in Dubai with their fight looming on April 2 at the O2 Arena in London.

Ford towered over his opponent standing at six feet nine inches tall holding a six inch height advantage over his counterpart who stands at six feet three inches.

As they came face-to-face for the first time, they squared up to each other before Sajad Gharibi attempted to take Ford down to the floor.

The bystanders to the maiden face-off promptly stepped in to prevent any further trouble occurring with Ford later sending his opponent 'flying'.

Ford and Hulk have no prior experience in the boxing ring and will be making their maiden appearances in this fight.

However, the pair do have a long-standing rivalry since they first planned to fight during Ford's time with Polish MMA promotion KSW.

Heated words have been exchanged in the build-up to the clash with Gharibi's training methods being branded "embarrassing" by Ford after he was pictured wrestling three sparring partners.

“I was embarrassed, genuinely embarrassed," Ford told Mirror Fighting . "People ask me if this is a real fight or if this is some kind of WWE fight.

"And yes of course it is 100 per cent this is going off. He is either an absolute genius and is putting this content out to fool me that he is that bad. Or he was conceived too close to a nuclear experiment and his head isn’t right.

"Because there is something about that video and all of them I can’t grasp what he is doing. The contracts signed and the fights are real and he is putting out the content like that."

Ford's opponent has culminated a social media following of over 200,000 followers with several people interested in his physique which is frequently branded as "photoshopped".

The stakes are equally as high for the Iranian star who plans to leave his opponent "needing a stretcher" after their heavyweight clash.

“Martin, continue to insult me,” Hulk told Muscle and Health. “Keep playing the clown, but I promise you will be taken out on a stretcher!

"You stand no chance against me. It’s not all about talent or genetics. I believe that if you work hard and train hard, it works. That’s my method. I’m going to London to fight Martyn and be victorious, I don’t think of anything else.

"I never consider losing - I just think about that victory. I have millions of fans, both young and old, who are waiting patiently for this fight. I promise I will make them happy.”
