Martine McCutcheon shocks with throwback to Liza Minnelli's wedding and her major role

Martine McCutcheon has stunned her fans by sharing an epic throwback from Liza Minnelli's wedding - where she had a very important role.

The Love Actually actress, 45, posted a sweet tribute to Liza and her late husband David Guest as she shared snaps from their wedding day in 2002.

Taking to Instagram, Martine shared an array of heartwarming videos and snaps as she looked back on the special day with fondness.

Those included in her throwback snaps were late superstar Micheal Jackson and a whole host of other famous faces.

On the big day back in 2002, Martine acted as bridesmaid for Liza who she struck up a close friendship with years before.

Former couple Liza and David who divorced in 2007, had the craziest wedding that showbiz has ever seen - and it would appear other celebrities are yet to top their A-list guest list.

Around 850 guests were invited to watch Liza - who was 48 at the time - and David, then 56, tie the knot in New York City on March 27.

Martine appears to remember the day very well as she previously revealed she sat next to former US president Donald Trump at the star-studded bash.

The star had an important role to play at their wedding 19 years ago, after meeting the couple at a club and immediately striking up a friendship.

Other celebrities who also went along to watch them exchange vows at Marble Collegiate Church included Diana Ross, Donald Trump, Mia Farrow, Rosie O'Donnell, Martha Stewart, Joy Behar, Anthony Hopkins, Kirk Douglas, Dionne Warwick, David Hasselhoff, and Joan Collins, to name a few.

Liza, who is now 76, had been married three times before tying the knot with David.

At the time of their wedding she was certain she'd found The One.

She told People how David was: "Everything I ever dreamed of in a man - his humor, his authority, his manliness."
