Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has accused the Australian Open of “capitulating” to China following its decision to ban fans from wearing T-shirts with “Where is Peng Shuai?” emblazoned.

Footage emerged online of security officials and police telling fans to remove the shirts at the event at Melbourne Park on Saturday.
