Martin Svidersky has confirmed he will play in La Liga after leaving Manchester United this summer.
Svidersky is set to leave United on a free transfer on June 30 upon the expiration of his contract at the club. Svidersky was offered a new deal at United but chose to run down his contract instead, in pursuit of more first-team opportunities elsewhere. The 19-year-old made 27 appearances for the academy this season and he played a key role in United's U23s' campaign in the Premier League 2.
Club sources admit that while United were keen to tie the Slovakian youngster to a new deal there has been a feeling that he would leave this summer for a while now. United are due to receive a small compensation package to recognise their development of the player despite the fact Svidersky will be leaving the club as a free agent when his contract expires.

Midfield is a strong position for United at youth level with Hannibal Mejbri, Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal all ahead of him in the pecking order, with the trio having already debuted for the first-team.
Svidersky’s pathway to the senior set-up is also limited by midfield trio James Garner, Dylan Levitt and Ethan Galbraith in the age group above. Svidersky discussed his departure from United this week with Slovakian media:
"I have spent the last days in Spain, where my steps will continue," Svidersky said to RTVS.
"They will follow in the first Spanish league, La Liga. I have high expectations, it will be a new experience, a new country.
"Spain came to me as the best option for my development. It is an opportunity to play men's football and get more chances."
His impending exit from Old Trafford could lead to more opportunities for Dan Gore, Kobbie Mainoo and Isak Hansen-Aarøen.
