Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts is best known for his opinions on property, wearing patterned shirts and his 'piano playing' hand movements. Now he's taking part in The Big Celebrity Detox on E4 and he says during filming his late mum spoke to him.
Martin appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch on Sunday, May 14 to chat about The Big Celebrity Detox and told hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer he was getting goosebumps talking to them about feeling that his mum was "in the room". He said: "At one point I felt like my mum, who died 20 years ago - and her death has been a really important part of my life - it felt like she was in the room and everybody felt it."
He explained that two other celebrities in the show had to play-act being Martin and his mum. Toby Aromolaran, a former Love Islander, who was play-acting Martin, turned away from Chloe Veitch, who was playing Martin's mum, and this upset Martin.
