Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has predicted that January signing Jakub Kiwior will only get 'better and better'. Kiwior arrived at the Emirates Stadium after completing an initial £17.5million deal plus add-ons from Spezia.
The Polish defender made his Arsenal debut against Sporting CP in the Europa League round of 16 first-leg after impressing for the Under-21s. Kiwior endured a difficult first game for the Gunners and was at fault for one of Sporting's goals as he seemed to shy away from heading the ball clear from a corner, allowing Goncalo Inacio to head home.
William Saliba defended the 23-year-old following the match after Kiwior was the subject of heavy criticism. Mikel Arteta refused to criticise the Poland international but admitted that an opponent should never be allowed to have a free header from a set piece against Arsenal.
