Martin Odegaard is out to fine-tune his "combinations" with Gabriel Jesus as he gets to grips with playing behind a new striker for Arsenal.
Jesus, 25, joined the Gunners in a £45million switch from Manchester City this summer and made his first competitive start in the opening-night Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Although he wasn't in the scoresheet in the 2-0 victory at Selhurst Park, the Brazilian forward impressed and Odegaard was another standout performer in the No. 10 role.
The Norwegian playmaker, who was recently appointed club captain, knows it is vitally important that he strikes up a potent partnership with Jesus. Odegaard, 23, has been encouraged by their first outings together but is hoping for an even better link-up in the games to come, starting with Saturday afternoon's encounter with Leicester at the Emirates.
