Declan Rice will join Arsenal this summer if the Gunners meet West Ham's valuation of their captain.
The Hammers have continued to demand £100 million for Rice, a fee that has not yet been offered by Arsenal. Only ten days have passed of the summer transfer window and Arsenal have already had two bids rejected for Mikel Arteta's priority target.
A third offer is expected to be submitted by Edu Gaspar after treble-winners Manchester City entered the fray. football.london understands Pep Guardiola's side are preparing to make a bid for the England international and the Gunners are keen to avoid being involved in a bidding war.
Fortunately for Arsenal, Rice prefers a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer and a move is likely to be completed should a deal be agreed between the two clubs.
In the coming days, or weeks, Rice will have a huge decision to make over where he will play throughout the prime years of his career. And current Gunners skipper Martin Odegaard has already hinted at what the 24-year-old can expect from meeting Arteta.
Speaking in February earlier this year, he said: "I spoke to Mikel Arteta on a Zoom call and he told me all about the project. At the time, they were way down like 15th in the table, but that meeting, honestly, I challenge anyone to come away from a meeting with Arteta and not believe everything he tells you."

Right now, the ball is in Arsenal's court. An offer that is acceptable for West Ham is the next goal after already failing twice. Beat Man City to the £100m valuation and Rice will become Arsenal's record signing.
