Martin Lewis has called for urgent action to protect millions of vulnerable people from surging energy bills - warning Britain faces "an absolute poverty crisis".
The consumer champion said a “substantial” increase in funding was needed to help those likely to be most severely impacted by a frightening surge in prices.
It comes just three weeks before energy regulator Ofgem is due to announce the scale of a hike in the price cap for 15 million households, the Mirror reports.
