Martin Lewis has issued a warning to family members who are asked to pay back State Pension payments after a relative has died.
The government has been contacting the relatives of those who have passed away to request they return overpaid state pension payments on behalf of the deceased.
When someone dies, their death must be reported within five days in England and Wales via the DWP's "Tell Us Once" service .
