Martin Lewis has issued advice to motorists on how to get the best deals amid the rising fuel costs.
The Money Saving Expert founder has spoken out as the cost of petrol and diesel is continuing to rise - with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Earlier this month, pump prices jumped to up 2p a litre in one day, which was the biggest daily rise in 17 years. The rising prices have come at a bad time as the country is already battling a cost of living crisis.
According to data firm Experian Catalist, the average cost of a full tank of petrol for a typical 55-litre family car has now exceeded £100, KentLive reports. But Martin Lewis has shared a handy tool with drivers in hopes they can save cash while refilling.

Tweeting to his followers, he said: "Find the nearest cheapest petrol station near you... Petrolprices.com." The website allows people to enter their postcode and find the nearest fuel station in the area. You can specify the search for specific types of fuel such as diesel and premium fuels.
First you must enter your details to sign up. Some people react with shock at this with Missy writing on Twitter: "Why do I need to give my information and sign up?"
To which Martin Lewis replied: "Because they want to build a database in return for letting you access theirs!"
