Personal finance guru Martin Lewis has shared a £1 hack that could help you save big on cinema tickets. Many people would have cut down on leisure outings as household budgets tighten during the cost of living crisis - but Martin explained some ways you can still enjoy a trip to the cinema for cheap.
On his ITV programme The Martin Lewis Money Show this week, the Money Saving Expert founder highlighted a cinema deal via Groupon. It gives you five Vue cinema tickets for £20 - or you can gets two for £9 or 10 tickets for £38 - which could amount to a big saving.
He said: "Check your local cinema prices to see whether it would be a saving. Some only cost a fiver, some cost £12 - but if it's £10 a pop, five would cost you £50, you get it for 20 quid (via Groupon)."

Martin added that the deal can be used any day for 2D films until March 14. "You don't have to use them all in one trip, you can split it across trips."
He also shared a trick using the popular comparison website Compare the Market. It involves taking out cheap travel insurance which then qualifies you for two-for-one cinema tickets for a year, reported The Mirror.
He said: "I know other people use the Compare the Meerkat trick. By the way, the easy way to get that, just get £1 UK daily travel insurance, then you get the 2-for-1s for a year without having to get anything else with that."
