Martin Lewis urged credit card holders to check their balances before a suspected change in interest rates.
The Money Saving Expert urged card holders to check their accounts as interest rates are set to change today. He said that anyone that uses a credit card must immediately check their balances.
Martin pleaded with the public to try and clear their balances as soon as possible before the new rates come into place. He added credit card deals could worsen if the Bank of England hikes interest rates for the seventh time in a row. The base rate went up by 0.5 percentage points to 1.75% last month.
