Brits are set to lose millions of pounds of Tesco Clubcard vouchers - but these can be extended using a tip from Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.
Clubcard vouchers expire after two years - and Tesco thinks that £17million of them will run out on May 31.
But MoneySavingExpert, the website founded by money expert Martin Lewis , has published a way to give these a new lease of life .
MoneySavingExpert said: "While Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years, if yours are expiring but you don't want to use them yet, there's a crafty way you can extend their expiry date for another two years but you must do so before 11:59pm on May 31."
To do this, you have to buy something using your points on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards site.
Doing this means you get any remaining points paid back to your account.
Tesco Clubcard Rewards lets you swap points for things like restaurant meals.
Rewards lets you switch your points for rewards like day trips to theme parks or dinner out.
This is how the tip works.
If you have a £20 voucher that is expiring, and spend £1 on a reward, you will get the remaining £19.50 paid back to you with a fresh two-year expiry.
You can then use that money to get money off your shopping or fuel.
However, you will need to do this for every expiring voucher.
Last week The Mirror reported that Tesco is shaking up its Clubcard scheme with up to a third off prices - and deals on healthy and eco-friendly products.
The supermarket is about to launch its Better Baskets Clubcard deals, which will give money off 200 healthy food and products with re-usable or recycleable packets.
This includes high-fibre food, alcohol-free drinks, vegan food and low-calorie treats.
This month, for example, Clubcard members get up to a third off Tesco's meat & veg range of burgers, sausages, kebabs, mince, meatballs and goujons.
These contain about 70% beef and 30% vegetables, and are marketed as a healthier option to 100% beef mince burgers.
People using the Clubcard scheme get 33% off Tesco's meat & veg beef burgers, which cost £1.50 normally or £1 to Clubcard users.
However, the deals will not last forever.
Some run out on May 29 and others end on June 16.
Tesco stores will have Better Baskets logos next to items in the special offer.
A Tesco spokesperson said: "To help make better choices more accessible for everyone, Tesco this month launches its Better Baskets range.
"Created to help customers feel better about the food they buy, the meals they make and the packaging their shopping comes in, in a way that is simple and affordable."
