As the cost of living crisis makes Christmas a worry for many, a tip by Martin Lewis could help save a wad of cash. The Money Saving Expert previously recommended buying the M&S beauty advent calendar then splitting it up into separate presents.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the calendar, which costs £40 when you spend £30 on the M&S website, contains full size beauty products worth £300. In an episode of the Martin Lewis Money Show Live in 2021, he told viewers: “This is a way that you can bag beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost and they often sell out early.
"This is the big one. I reckon it’s worth around £230, costs you £40, but you can only get it if you spend £30 on non-food stuff in M&S. The fact you have to spend £30, you may as well do that anyway because even for £70 if you want the stuff in it, it’s worth it."
This year's M&S beauty advent calendar is worth even more than last year's, and contains £300 worth of products. They include nine skincare products, three bath and body, three make-up, two nail, two fragrance and six haircare products. The calendar features designer names such as L'Occitane, Clinique and REN.
