Financial guru Martin Lewis has said that a 'financial cataclysm' across the UK could be inbound this winter, after the latest government news which he described 'sickening'.
In an open letter in video form, directed at the top candidates hoping to be the Conservative party's next leader and Prime Minister, the Money Saving Expert founder predicted a 'financial timebomb' to explode in September thanks to a hike in energy bills.
He said: "The winter coming is going to be bleak. I believe unless action is taken, we are facing a potential national financial cataclysm."
