Consumer expert Martin Lewis says households need to take action now ahead of higher inflation and a national insurance tax hike next month, as the cost of living crisis continues to spiral out of control.
UK homes are currently dealing with increases in the cost of energy bills, fuel, food and more.
Speaking in the MoneySavingExpert weekly email, Lewis said: "The news is difficult to cope with right now. And while nothing we face compares to the dangerous, tragic, desperate situation in Ukraine (see how to donate money or needed items there) - life in the UK will get harder to afford for many."
