Consumer champion Martin Lewis has issued a warning to anyone who has ever been a Barclaycard customer.

Speaking on his ITV show The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, he gave a warning to the bank's former and current customers.

Every Thursday on ITV, the financial guru takes questions and offers advice on how people can save money and what to expect from their bills.

He addressed all current and former Barclaycard customers on episode on January 20, in the section 'time for a quickie... or three'.

Martin noted that people may be spotting more post from the bank but has urged people not to throw it in the bin - it is not junk mail.

In fact some could be offered payments from Barclaycard of up to £300.

Martin Lewis said: "This is the warning for Barclaycard current or ex customers.

"Do not bin its post. It's sending out payments for incorrect interest and fee refunds for some pre 2019 repayment plans.

"The average payment is £70 - some may get up to 300 quid. It's paid by cheque, by transfer or to the card.

"So don't throw your post away if you're a Barclaycard former customer or current customer."

Martin uses his Money Live Show to address concern from the public and offers them financial advice.

Recently he has been discussing the energy crisis and urged the Government to intervene after a windowed single mum shared she was struggling with her bills already.
