Martin Lewis has issued an urgent warning to energy customers who are on pre-payment meters.
The money-saving expert is making sure households have used their October Energy Bills Support Scheme top-up voucher as they will expire before the end of January. The credit is automatically applied by suppliers to households using a smart meter for their electricity - but for some people on non-smart pre-payment meters, the vouchers have not yet been received.
The scheme helps to alleviate the high cost of electricity bills over the winter by crediting accounts with around £67 a month from October until March. Martin has advised households on what to do if their vouchers have not yet been applied.

Appearing on This Morning on Tuesday (January 10), Martin warned that there had been an issue for some people on 'traditional' pre-payment meters. He explained: "That means non-smart pre-payment meters where you're topping up. There is still a good chunk of them who have not got their vouchers."
He continued: "This is getting crucial because those vouchers only last three months. You should have got them in October, so the first voucher deadline will be coming up where they are no longer valid."
Martin added that his 'big advice' to everyone was to first of all check that your energy provider has the right details for you. He said: "If not, you need to get in contact with them".
He added that some energy providers, like SSE, encourage customers to get in touch and update their details.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) recently announced that it is 'monitoring effectiveness of the scheme closely, including receiving monthly data from energy suppliers.' It said that 4,044,554 vouchers had been issued to households across Great Britain up to December 1, 2022.
The latest figures were published on GOV.UK last month.
