Martin Lewis has issued urgent advice to anyone with an Amazon Prime membership ahead of its price hike. He is urging members of the public to take action ahead of the price rise in September - and at least delay it for a year.
The Money Saving Expert founder has warned that the membership price is set to rise from £7.99 to £8.99 from September 15. Those on an annual membership will also go from paying £79 to £95.
In order to save as much money as possible before the fees change, Mr Lewis has advised those who can afford it to switch to the annual payment now to ensure you get it for a whole year at just £79.

For those who already pay annually and their renewal is set to take place after September 15, he recommended cancelling and restarting the membership before that date.
In a tweet he wrote: "On 15 Sept, the monthly membership price increases from £7.99 to £8.99, and annual membership from £79 to £95. If you currently pay monthly, and want to keep it, if you can afford switch to annual now, to get next year at £79. Pls share.
"If your annual renewal is just after, then try cancelling and restarting just before 15 September."
