Money saving expert Martin Lewis has urged people across the country to take ten minutes out of their day to make a simple check which could save them thousands in the long-run.
Appearing on ITV's This Morning today, a mum-of-two on maternity leave was in tears describing her crippling financial situation with £5,000 debt across two credit cards. She told Martin she was "struggling" and worries about childcare when she returns to work.
Martin said millions across the country are also "in tears because of their financial situation" so urged the heart-broken mother to not "feel alone" and not to feel it is "your fault". The financial guru urged the woman, and millions of others across the country, to use the benefits calculator which can give an idea of if you are entitled to additional benefits.
