Money-saving expert Martin Lewis has warned couples who live together but are not married to have financial arrangements in place in case of death.
The founder of MoneySavingExpert has urged couples who don't want to tie the knot to put in place a civil partnership or a contract similar to a will so the other partner can lawfully inherit assets.
In his latest newsletter, Martin revealed that those who are not married or in a civil partnership have no status under inheritance law meaning a partner may be at risk of losing an asset they thought they would inherit if a loved one passes.
