Up to 800,000 pensioners could be missing out on extra money by not claiming a top-up benefit, Martin Lewis has warned.
Mr Lewis urged state pensioners who earn under £200 and couples less than £300 a week to check if they are eligible for Pension Credit, which could be worth around £3,500 per year from April 2022, reports the Mirror.
Pension Credit is extra money to help with living costs for those who claim the State Pension and have a low income. It is separate from the State Pension. If you can claim Pension Credit you may also be elgiible for other help, like Housing Benefit or support for mortgage interest payments.

Speaking on the final episode of this series of the Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV, Money Saving Expert founder Martin said: "Really important if you're a state pensioner and you're single and you have earnings under £200 a week, or you're a couple and you earn under £300 a week, then go onto GOV.UK and see if you're eligible for Pension Credit.
"Or if you don't like the internet, call the Pension Credit hotline (0800 99 1234)."
Not everybody who earns under the £300 or £200 threshold will be eligible, but it's worth checking.
He added: "It’s incredibly important and there are 800,000 people missing out."
Martin urged younger people who have older friends or relatives to encourage them to check too.
