Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has urged thousands families to claim free cash worth up to £2,000, after he noted that many are not yet claiming it.
The benefit means that people with children can claim £500 tax-free every three months - which is up to £2,000 a year - for each of their kids. Birmingham Live reports that if parents have a child who is disabled, it is doubled to £1,000 every three months.
On popular ITV programme, The Martin Lewis Money Show running on Tuesdays, the financial guru has claimed that many people are not claiming this free perk.

Martin explained: "There are 800,000 people in the UK eligible for tax-free childcare, which is effectively where you get 20% off the price of childcare through Gov.uk, the savings scheme there.
"People aren’t using it so check that out if you’re paying for childcare."
In order to secure the discount, people will need to set up an online account for their child on the Government website.
Then, for every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to pay your provider. You can use this benefit at the same time as your 30 hours of free childcare if you’re eligible for both.
The Government website has plenty of extra advice when it comes to claiming the tax-free money.
