Martin Lewis was triggered by a viewer's question on the latest Money Show Live, with the consumer champion having to send out a warning to people at home, according to the Echo.
Discussing the latest money issues on the ITV show - or STV for those of us living in Scotland - the financial guru touched on the housing market, with many worried about trying to get on the property ladder, as well as what happens when it is time to re-mortgage.
Joined by three people knowledgeable in their field, Martin explained that the current rates are easing slightly, with the experts sharing their predictions on what will happen over the course of 2023.

Fixed mortgage rates are an issue for many and it lead one viewer to contact the show about how her rate was set to end at the end of this year.
She asked: "Is it best to fix again or go into variable to see if the rates come down?" and in answering her question, Martin said the question "triggered a warning" he wanted to give as he sent a separate message for people waiting for rates to get better.
The Money Saving Expert (MSE) founder said: "I've been quite concerned over recent months as many people have got in touch with me and said am I doing this until rates go back until the cheap rates we have had.
"I need to be very plain. If you're under 35 you might not realise that the rates we had from 2008 until last year, they weren't low. They were limboing well below the prior 300 year historic lows for interest rates.
"We have lived through an anomaly time so there is absolutely no rule that says things must go back to how they were. I'm not saying they won't, but there is no rule that it must."
