Financial guru Martin Lewis had to fight back tears as he talked about losing his mother at the same age as Prince Harry on ITV's Good Morning Britain this morning.
The money saving expert became tearful as the programme showed footage of Prince Diana's funeral in 1997 and told viewers: "I mentioned this earlier and I wasn't going to say on air, but it resonates very powerfully with me as someone who lost his mother at the same age Harry was at the time, in a road accident. I find it very difficult to watch. Thank goodness I wasn't forced to walk behind the funeral procession, I didn't even go."
He was clearly moved at the scenes and asked presenter Susanna Reid to take over while he composed himself. Susanna said: "Utterly heartbreaking. I know, I know. I think, when events like this happen that are so public, they are very triggering of private grief. And we totally understand," reports Yorkshirelive.

The King, members of the royal family and senior staff of the late Queen and King’s households walked slowly behind in a dignified silence without music on a route that took 38 minutes.
Those wishing to pay their respects will be able to file solemnly past the Queen’s coffin 24 hours a day until 6.30am on the day of the funeral – Monday, September 19. Senior royals are also expected to pay their own moving tribute, standing guard at some stage around the coffin – the tradition known as the Vigil of the Princes.
