Martin set up the MoneySavingExpert website in his living room in 2003. The site grew from just giving tips on cutting household bills to becoming the UK's biggest consumer site. It has now held this title for more than a decade. The website has also long been one of the top 100 biggest sites in the UK, and has over 16 million monthly users. Martin sold the website in 2012 to the Moneysupermarket.com group for up to £87 million.
